The Thermal Biology Institute at Montana State University presents Hot Science!—a program for the middle school 7th and 8th grade classroom.

Hot Science! is an integrated set of resources , lessons , and props focused on the unique thermal systems of Yellowstone National Park and tied to National Science Standards. This set of materials contains lessons on microbiology , classification , geology , and biochemistry inquiry-based activities that are related to Yellowstone thermal environments. Lessons target science literacy concepts like biodiversity , energy flow , and scale. 


The Hot Science! Program makes learning fun and relevant!
