GEOTHERMAL BIOLOGY AND GEOCHEMISTRY
IN YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

Geothermal Biology and Geochemistry in Yellowstone National Park
eds. William Inskeep and Timothy McDermott

The Thermal Biology Institute recently published Geothermal Biology and Geochemistry in Yellowstone National Park. This high-quality publication stems from TBI’s Geothermal Biology and Geochemistry meeting held in Yellowstone in October, 2003, and represents the first in a series of TBI professional proceedings highlighting Yellowstone geothermal research programs and management issues.

The goal of the Workshop Proceeding is to provide an overview of past and current research focused on Yellowstone’s geothermal biology and geochemistry, the microbial ecology of unique thermal ecosystems, and the unique and novel biochemical pathways of thermophilic organisms. Our intended primary audience ranges from academic peers and agency scientists to resource managers and graduate students interested in interdisciplinary environmental sciences.
